Dazz...Another way to look at it, is why do pretty much all trading rooms have in their disclaimer that they are for entertainment purposes only, and/or that the trades are simulated? There has to be a reason, yes?

I think the FINRA/SEC thing makes sense. You have to be licensed, because you are effectively "telling" people what to do with real monies. Accountability and stuff? *shrugs*

It is kind of reasonable to ask deaddog for sure; it just is not out there. What if when you asked to see real $$ and a real account, they first asked you to send a photocopy of your drivers license, to prove you are an adult, you are real and a US citizen and then a notarized non-disclosure agreement. Is that not reasonable of them to ask first? It would be an even colder day before you would do any of that.
Your insistence and requests fly in the face of reality. Just saying.

I would trade my ID for an audited P&L. I couldn't make the US citizen requirement as I live north of the 49th. But I would have no problem signing a non disclosure agreement. As it is they only ask for real money.

It's up to each individual to decide for themselves what value these trading rooms add. Most have some sort of trial period, usually at a discount to determine if it is worth the money spent. Who knows there might be something there that will help.

Maybe this winter I'll give one a try as it looks like covid will keep me from wintering in Arizona.

Veritas Futures Trading and Targets Trading Pro sometimes trade live cash $$$ - you could clearly see the Dorman account on their DOM or chart trader; there was always the "!" in the account number, which cannot be used in sim accounts. And they would post that day's statement. I followed it to the penny for several months and then they went back to sim.
    Have not seen it since.

Indeed. I have seen the "!" in trading account numbers also, and in Ninja they cannot be replicated in sim.

Consider yourself lucky you saw some real money trading in the room.

  7. Deaddog,

I think its stupid and unprofessional and not good business practice to Pay and watch someone trade paper money.

It's actually pretty laughable. Pay someone monthly to watch then trade fake money. The Fuck

Just think about how stupid that sounds. You paying someone to do something that they not doing seriously. Zero broker statements. You just paying this person for nothing.

Pay me monthly to trade paper money. I will pay somone at upwork to build me a website tomorrow with chat room, and fake spreadsheet of trades for past 2 years. Hire a good Internet marketer on upwork to run ads to my website.

Come on man, wise up. Get your head out your ass.

your analysis of the disclaimer is correct but even without a license, if you trade real $$ and make real $$ you can post your P/L just like sim trading. There is no accountability (and so easy) w/o a license, that is why so very very few rooms have a licensed trader: is Tony Hanson licensed? Is Rob Hoffman of Become a Better Trader licensed? NO!

I trade in 3 rooms a day; all live; all transparent and all in sim. One of the rooms is a multi-robot room; 3 of the best bot have aver $1382.71/d for the last 126 days ($174,422 total). They do not care if the account is sim or real, if I have a license or not; or anyone's opinion on paper money. They trade 3 contracts/trade sim; I trade 9 contracts/trade real $$$ . Sim vs. $ is moot.
