No I am American Indian but I lived in Honduras for years and in Mexico Belize, Panama. I have lived in the jungles ..in the cities...I have hunted... fished.. worked and played. And of course I speak Spanish. It was necessary to understand what the Latinos were saying and to communicate with them so I went to language school. I have fond memories of living in each place. I have a few fond memories of USA culture but I have to say more fond memories of Latino culture and the Mexican cuisine is exquisite and varied. Way better IMO than our typical American food except for Ribeyes, butter beans, peas cornbread okra, buttermilk, and biscuits. Most of our fast food hamburgers are a joke. Though I do like McDonald's french fries. And I like Taco Bell ok but my family usually frowns or groans when I want to take them there. I do like the Brazilian Steak House Texas de Brazil. Some of the most tender meat that has touched my palate is in Argentina.
I've never been to that side of the world, you must have a few stories to tell while holding a beer. I am in my late 40s and never traveled to the American continent, the closest I got to experiencing the South American culture was with some ex-pats while living in Madrid, my cousin's wife is from Honduras, so I get some lectures from her as well, especially about their cuisine. One day I hope to travel to America and see things firsthand.
Come on, what is this shit? side note: 1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8+9 = 45, 45^ = 2025 the year we are in Dear Ironchef is asking because he is trying to learn. And you keep shitting him.
Go for it! Mexican cuisine is real varied and flavored often differently from State to State. Honduran food taste almost the same across the board because they use a lot of comino spice (cumin). If you like variety then Mexico has a lot more variety. And spicy and hot but I like both spicy and hot and can eat the hottest chili's the Mexican can dish out to me. I can outdo them. Which is a bit of embarrassment to them but fun for me. One told me one time "I cannot believe a gringo is outdoing me eating hot chili's." My son while he likes hot chilis too he says to the Mexicans "I ain't in no competition." That is what he tells the Mexicans. He too is in his 40's. Me they know I am game for the hottest chili they can drag up. It may burn like a torch but they won't know it does burn so bad from me as I keep my composure and just eat away calmly. Afterward, I am suffer but in private! I just gotta win. It is in my nature. It shows up in my trading styles too. I have a hard time putting up with losers and whining people that vocalize all their bad luck and constantly complain. They ought to just do something about it. I have my down moments too like anyone else but I try to suffer them in private until I snap out of them. I have a picture in my mind of Michael Jordon laying on the floor coming to grips with having lost a game. The pain. He hated to lose. But he did the work, made the sacrifices, made the adjustments, picked himself up and never stopped until his body no longer could support him. That is why he was one of the best. Maybe the best ever.
