Facturing in Spread in Order Placement

Discussion in 'Order Execution' started by excaliburtb, Apr 18, 2017.

  1. Dear all,
my question is the following: my charts run on "middle price". Let's assume the spread between bid and ask is "2".

Let's say i want to place a long order now at Level 12000, SL at 11000 and Take Profit at 13000. Would these by the correct orders:

    Order: 12000+1
    SL: 11000-1
    Take-Profit: 13000-1?

    Best,
    excalibur

    No.

Normally, your stop orders are triggered by the last deal traded and not by the best bid or ask. So your SL at 11 will be triggered when 1 lot trades at this price or lower.
