According to my prints, 22,868,713 shares were exchanged in 32,017 trades at a price of 38.00 around 12 EST, so it should not have been difficult to trade at that time and price. Also, my original prediction that FB would close in the $38-39 range looks spot on. Too bad I couldn't profit from it.
don't know but its cool to watch live. not one print under 38 its like they built up an armor to prevent it.
plan to HFT trade it a million times between $38.00 and $38.01 for 30 minutes into the close. (edit: 100 million times.) oh wait, i'm not GS. ---pfl
If they pull that big block shielding the rest of the book, you would see the price drop to 37s only thing holding it up is that big block sitting there.
Are you sure you're limiting it to just that time period? (say, before 15:00) I show about that many traded as of now but that includes almost 10MM in the last few minutes.
Never had a trade in my life that was more clearly a safe entry, than when FB had the first pullback this morning to 38.01. I'd never intended to trade the stock, but this was a no-brainer, knowing that it would be supported at that level. Took 1.5 points long and paid for a nice weekend.
