FAA investigating stunt posted on YouTube

DALLAS, Jan. 24 (UPI) -- The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating a dangerous airplane stunt in which a plane came within feet of a man on a Texas runway.

A video of the incident was posted on YouTube Monday, ABC News reported.

Stunt pilot Jason Newburg is seen in the video in an aerobatic plane traveling at 200 miles an hour and nearly hitting a man on an all-terrain vehicle and the cameraman shooting the stunt.

"Several points along the way this guy could have make mistakes that would have killed himself, and the two people that are filming the action here," ABC News aviation consultant Steve Ganyard said.

Newburg had a waiver to perform aerobatic stunts, but it expired in November, officials said.

FAA officials told ABC the agency is investigating the incident.

  2. I was driving and had an airplane run me off the road. Got his serial number and call the local airport to find out who it was and they said that "they didn't know". Back in those days, I didn't know what I could do about it.

    Sounds like my mother.

In the grand scheme of things, isn't it always a mistake that kills us?

So had his waiver not been expired it would have been a safe maneuver? Typical dumb fuck bureaucrats.
