  3. Good for you, Doug! Would you provide the times please, so I can look at the trade? My NQ system didn't work for shit this AM, just a few ticks net, indicating a narrow range day, so I am out until the close and ready to learn from you.

  5. Sorry, I get confused easily. I chart and trade in Pacific time, but like you, actually live in Central. If you were really jacking, shouldn't you have been long the channel traverse starting around 9:21 Central? That's exactly when I bailed my NQ short from 8:41 Central, although I don't draw channels any more. Didn't have your balls to go long, though. I was overriding my system signal which said I should still be short.

  6. If I knew what I was doing I would have, but as I'm still chicken to trade I wait for more likely candidates to trade.

I saw that upchannel but waited till I had a better setup as I don't know Jack about some of the advanced methods.

It came when volume on YM went into dryup around 0930-0932 and then both price on YM and volume started up and the trade was also confirmed by S/S.

  7. Great trade! Did YM lead?

FYI, the old methods still work. I use an estimator that is very close to an 18 EMA on a one-minute chart, and my signal to bail the short was the upward break of that estimator at 9:21 CT. You recall that Spydie early on said to put a 20 EMA (I think) on the chart. A shade slow IMO, but lots of people apparently trade by it in their respective time frames.

And why are you bragging here, instead of getting a pat on the head at Spydie's place? Just because we're both Texans (if I recall correctly)?

  9. Yes, they are soooooo serious over there. I sincerely wish I could get into it, but I learned years ago I'm just not smart enough. And every time I post something funny Jack dissects my character like a frog in biology class and makes me cry. So I am permanently banished to the bush leagues of NQ. It is so lonely there.

    From Hooston?
