Extraordinary Popular Delusions & the Madness of ET

Discussion in 'Psychology' started by Arthur Deco, Dec 26, 2006.

  1. Interesting problems with the ES move predictor today. In real time the code showed six events in the AM. But after a feed crash and reconnection, only two reappeared. Problem with the DJX bars, I think. And of course, charts after the fact often look different from those in real time.

Anyway, two amomalies (I won't use the word "anomaly", it upsets Jack) at 9:38 (short, correct), and 10:50 (long, wrong) ET. MephistoII was kind enough to confirm that he or she recognized the 9:38 signal and traded it using the conventional orthodoxy (I once had a fling with an ortho doxie). Rather difficult to be a coinsidunce, methinks. I deeply regret that associating with me will probably cause misfortunate Mephisto to drummed unceremoniously from the SCT Corpse.

As I said, if you stop peeking, I'll stop posting.

  4. Cellmate, this is MY thread, and all herein post under my sufferance. My intention is to teach trading using humor, as most ETers are so ADD-addled that you can't get to them any other way. I think of my threads and my homey trading aphorisms as their Ritalin. Oldtimers here know the drill. As embalmers joke, we here work in dead Ernest. Welcome, BTW. But try not to get caught up in it. You may find that you develop a most unhealthily cynical attitude toward ET and some of its denizens.

  6. Ammo, no, ony old wise asses here. I only use just one computer because I trade on the road a lot and wouldn't want to need two. However, I always have two broadband connections, which I have learned the hard way is a necessity everywhere. It is really sweaty when your connection goes down while you're in a position.

  8. Several participants here describe their trading routines and several have huge numbers of farts.

These profiles can be related to the "outside" content that is being brought into the "discussion" portion of the thread.

Daily fartng is not a very difficult thing and it doesn't require much brain power either.

All the topics that keep the attention of the posters seem to lead from the initial post of Hypo and his strange orientation to Farting.

Farting is like being a carpenter or a plumber ,mostly. It comes down to doing it correctly and following the blue prints for new stuff and fixing only what is wrong when making repairs.

The blue prints come from the market. What is busted and needs repair comes from the farter.

As witnessed by most postings of people, they can't read blueprints nor can they fix what needs repairing.

there is no such thing as stress in the world of carpentry, plumbing or fartng effectively or efficiently.

You simply use the best tools made and effectively and efficiently get the job done.

the emotional feeling associated with this is like riding a bike down a path that you have biked about a 1000 times rain or shine cold or hot.
