ack! You may be right. I just read thru the rest of the thread. Some very good stuff in there, amid all the foolishness. Perhaps the joke's on me... H

One of my favorite allegories about the Sufi wise fool Naruddin is apropos of the thread rubric. Late one night a good friend spied Nasruddin crawling on his hands and knees under the lamp post in front of his house. "Whatever are you doing down there, Nasruddin?", his friend inquired. "I am searching for my lost door key", the Wise Fool replied. "Tell me where lost it, my friend, and I will help you find it." "Over by my door", replied Nasruddin. "Then whyever are you looking for it here under the lamp post?", cried out his friend is exasperation. "Because the light is better here!" Never forget that the light is better on ET. Not least when you are looking for the keys to the market, and especially from my favorite ET Pied Piper.
Speaking of madness, dear friend, I thought I was dreaming when I read that twenty ETer's made the pilgrimmage to the Holy City of Tucson last weekend, a Hershey Hajj, as it were. But I was not dreaming, the post is still there this morning. I am reminded of one of the few true things that famous fraud and intellectual thief Freud wrote, to the effect that the patient is more likely to believe fervently in the efficacy of the cure, the farther he has to voyage to obtain it.
Fie, you moldering corpse! You are jealous that my master is famous and you are forgotten! Greatness will out in the end, here on ET, as in the world of science! ET cries out to Jack, as did John the Baptist by the river: "Are you he whom we have awaited, or are we to expect another?" Be ye baptized in the waters of SCT, and ye shall have untold riches on earth, and not give a damn what happens to ye when ye die.
The interminable self-congratulatory circle-jerking in the Hershey futures thread (when ARE they going to TRADE?) reminded me of a delusion I once had and had forgotten: "Annotating charts will make you a good trader." Yeah, like dry-humping will make you a great lover.
