To which of us, specifically, were you addressing your immoderate comments? Just because we are not true believers doesn't mean we believe in nothing. As to being forgotten, it's ET. Everything here will be forgotten. It's more ephemeral even than evanescence. What WILL last is the gold in the box and the diamonds on Baby's fingers. How they came to be for me and others you will not find here. Or in the purrings of the Pied Piper of Tucson and his happy skipping followers.
They are not frivolous creations. For those with open minds, multiple personalities are a benefit to trading. And they are very real to me, and speak to me. Whereas Jack would have you "scan" fourteen different criteria serially at a headache producing pace, I process my fourteen criteria in parallel with different minds. For example, I have a fetishist in there who loves cups with handle: upright, inverted, reversed upright, reverse inverted. It's his thing. I have another who reads ET assiduously so he'll be stupid and know where the crowd trades so he can transact at tests. Etc. Fourteen times over.
Music badly overrated, like many gurus. Much of it may have been composed in this very setting , on the back of the paper post use.
Ah yes, now the distinct honor and privilege of our beloved ElectricChallengedWonder to contribute to these humble proceedings. Sir Electric has always splendidly rendered ample leadership as our esteemed moderator and Famously Fearless Forex Flop. Unfortunately for the non-believers, His deep insights of ephemeral market knowledge shall be haplessly ignored at great peril to all who commit such an egregious error. Methinks such misjudgement is akin to the Unpardonable Sin!
Oh I like this one very much indeed. It is incumbent upon all of us to nurture and cultivate this myth.
Well, why didn't you just say that in the first place? I enjoy all of your (insert #) personalities and their (sometimes very redundant - yeah I know, everybody's making the same point, that's the point) discussions w/each other, but isn't this on the level of "No, naive newbies, mom and pop, old aunt Fanny - the green and red arrows don't reallllllly tell you when to buy and sell!"? So much energy spent on something so obvious on a trading site? Have you also cautioned ET'er's against responding to emails from Nigerian Princes seeking suckers seeking untold riches for nothing? What fuel these mortals be! Sure, so what else is new? In fact this is not the extraordinary aspect of ET at all, otherwise it would be a Yahoo board and those who matter would recognize it as such. But after quite a few yrs ET is still here, and now, because there is much more below that shallow surface, it continues to thrive, despite all the bullshit on the part of both staff and membership. Here, there are real traders w/real ideas. Some of whom are generous and yes, dare I say, courageous enough to put themselves out there, inviting the ridicule that is the necessary evil of a board like this, simply because they enjoy the simplicity of a good, honest conversation about something for which they feel a great passion. What of the satisfaction from sharing w/others of a like disposition, be it gardening, modding pc's, the tv show 24, or trading? The delusions you lament on a trading board are hardly extraordinary, in fact they're common to the internet, hardly worthy of a Viagra spam. You choose to ignore the golden nuggets in the dirty stream. I, personally, just the one, moi, think all 14 of you have been reading the wrong posts. With so many of you so hard at work on your blanket condemnation, you'd think you guys would branch out a bit and experience that other, deeper, more relevant side of ET, even if for a breath of fresh air. ET is like living in NY. Those who say "I Heart NY" are full of shit, they're nuts. Those who hate it and bemoan constantly, should shuddup and leave, already. A true NY'er knows the city for what it truly is, they recognize both its greatness and its pettiness. Its beauty and atrocities. I Heart ET? No, but I appreciate it for what it is. H
