Yes, your file looks right. I don't know where the problem is. What version of TWS are you using? I use the stable one, not the latest. I also use MS Office 2013.
I am using stable tws. Contact IB support again. Like all my posts! Try all the options for exporting data, there are four. Maybe you need the legacy option to get data into excel 2013. Add some more columns to the watchlist bid/ask etc. What are you going to do with the data in excel? where are hosting your images?
Not sure what you're asking. The option chain data I gather is meant for some back testing I plan to do later on.
If you want complete eod option data stockwatch has the option to download all daily option data you can then segment it and load it into a spreadsheet. I run it through a python program and analyse the data.
If your intended use of the data is for backtesting, and you only need a single symbol (or very few), you may want to consider purchasing the data (like from CBOE - LiveVol) to minimize your pain/efforts. For EOD, their cost is not too bad. If memory serves me, their EOD is actually EOD AND 15-min prior to EOD, which is often a better option for many efforts! -- Remembering to do your daily download, if that process is not automate-able, consistency of your data may be problematic. -- With the LiveVol approach (a subscription), you can later decide if you want to purchase historic data to get a complete database.-- just a thought, if you need only one symbol.
Yahoo Finance, there is a download you can click. For Schwab there is no download click but I can copy and paste into excel using unicode.
I eventually gave up on IB/TWS and did it from TOS. You can export many expirations at a time. Quick and easy. Thanks for all the ideas.
