Will try that as well, but a while ago I entered a chat session and the customer service guy said you can only export the portfolio or watch lists.
Sorry, Sir, if you want to help you'll need to guide me please. What should I open in classic TWS view? Option chain? I tried and doesn't allow me to export it.
In classic tws with the icons at the top of the page. Type in rut, select options from the pop up menu, Another pop up gives you a box with the option strikes. Add as many calls and puts as you want, windows shift multi select does not work. Then right click and select import/export/export page in legacy excel format or export page content. Both choices save the option prices to csv file. Do file save so the page is there tomorrow. You can right click on the column headers and select customise layout and add the option greeks or anything else you are interested in to the page.
When the second pop up with the option prices comes up it is set to eight strikes if you want more click on the 8 strikes tab and change to all then click on add all on the top right of the box to get a lot of strikes into tws quickly. You can also select rutw, whatever that is, maybe it is weeklies. If you want multiple expiries click on tabbed view and choose lit view. When the strikes are in tws right click and select import export to get into a csv file.
In IB mosaic. Click new window then watchlist enter Rut then select options in popup Choose strikes and expiry then click on add all on the top line of the second popup. Then right click in the watchlist and select import/export, any one of the menu choices will let you save the option prices to a csv. You are trying from an options chain window that does not let you export to a csv.
ZBZB, thank you for your effort, but I guess I'm too old for this. I set the option chain as I want it and after I click on Add All, it becomes like this:
Worked for me. I used the export page content option and I got bid/ask/last for rut options. See attached file. Where are you hosting your images?
