    Folks,

I have Virus Scan (McAfee Ver 7.1) detecting the Exploit-MhtRedir.gen Trojan everytime I pull up a thread on the Elite Trader site. This is not an issue with my PC, but with the ET site.

Can the site owners take a look at what is going on with this
    Trojan.

    Thanks,

    - Greg

  2. This has been going on for a full 3 weeks now and I am really getting sick of this.

    Hello Baron???

  3. Yeah, what's up with this, Baron?

This trojan virus is almost as bad as Waggie's posts!

I picked it up today, but I can't say whether it was here or not. Would be nice, tho, if Baron would at least acknowledge these posts.

  5. I am sure that Baron is looking into this and will give an update on this shortly. In the meantime, please make sure you do not have any spyware installed on your sytem -- as this is 99% of the time the root of all problems while surfing the web.

And can't get rid of it, either. Anyone have any suggestions?

  7. One could go here:

    http://groups.msn.com/computerhelpclub/welcome1.msnw

First go to System Info page (on the left), so that the people who help you have the proper info about your computer.
Then the general page to post your question. The people are very knowledgeable.

I figured it out. The procedure was at McAfee (duh). Thanks.

  9. Can you give some examples of what kind of problems these spywares give?

I have installed Spybot. How is this compared to lavasoft?

    Thanks

  10. if you are posting to a thread and then you get notified by et email that someone else has posted and you open up that email and click on the link, you will get the embedded virus. i was getting that message for a couple of weeks and then i figured out it was the email so now i immediately delete the et emails and go directly to et and i haven't gotten a virus since.
    DON'T OPEN THE ET EMAILS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
