It's going to be a long time before regular people would have access to personal quantum computers.

    10 years? 20?
12345678910 sorry, just trying to visualize why anything should ever have to wait, anymore, given this is well into the (21st? ) century

    so perhaps in 100 years,

what else might come along before then? self driving cars!

  4. The biggest aspect for us traders is it will dominate trading in a way todays HFTs can only dream of. Imagine Google to be able to create PA patterns in advance and manipulating theim into their favor for example.

We won't need personal quantum capable machines, we will just need devices to access them. AMZN, MSFT, GOOG will have the quantum machines and we will rent access just as we now do with clouds. Development is funded by military budgets through Darpa, university grants,GOOG, MSFT, etc. partnerships. All seeded through military budget channels. Military will be 1st. adapters.

Self-driving cars are already a thing, but they are not mass-produced yet.

The question is do we live in a deterministic universe?

  8. you already own a "quantum computer" called your brain/mind, use it
