At first the monkey is fine with being rewarded with a cucumber for his efforts, but then once he sees how the monkey beside him is being rewarded with grapes, he throws a temper tantrum, and will no longer accept the cucumber, he also starts shaking and trying to break the cage and throwing food around, banging his fist against the ground, suffering from a complete lack of civility, while he demands the grapes, this would be typical of an OWS protester. This basically shows how the primitive mind of a liberal operates, he would be just fine with eating the cucumbers, until he realises that someone else is getting something better at which point the cucumbers are not good enough for him anymore. The experiment shows how liberals really have not evolved, as they still allow jealousy to rule their lives. <object width='464' height='300' id='2321441' type='application/x-shockwave-flash' classid='clsid27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000' alt='Hilarious Experiment On Monkeys in http://www.break.com/'><param name='allowFullScreen' value='true' /></param><param name='flashvars' value='playerversion=12'></param><param name='movie' value='http://embed.break.com/MjMyMTQ0MQ==/ai/0/zi/0/ds/1/st/embed'></param><param name='allowScriptAccess' value='always'></param><embed flashvars='playerversion=12' src='http://embed.break.com/MjMyMTQ0MQ==/ai/0/zi/0/ds/1/st/embed' type='application/x-shockwave-flash' allowFullScreen='true' allowScriptAccess='always' width='464' height='300'></embed></object><br><font size=1><a href='http://www.break.com/index/hilarious-experiment-on-monkeys-2321441' target='_blank'>Hilarious Experiment On Monkeys</a></font><font size=1> - Watch More <a href="http://www.break.com">Funny Videos</a></font>
Old stuff, just finding out about it now? It's the basis for the "relative deprivation" hypothesis. The behavior is fairly typical in the higher primates, the social mammals, and a species or two of bird. But don't think it's only "liberals", you feel it too when, while having enough, you resent the "welfare cheat".
You're asking him to do the impossible...............think. This is a guy who thinks it clever to make a joke about a sanitary napkin. It's the height of his creativity. He still laughs about it. duh
Ahh yes, hello, I owe you and a few a response to the 'welcome back' posts. Thank you. Rural life is keeping me busy, we're gearing up for seeding right now, and large machines crawling with men I don't know are on the property. Work life is keeping me more than busy. We're hellishly booked even to a year out, and I'm buying million$ to our pipeline. Also, The Borg (GE) are sniffing around--they already "assimilated" part of us. The rest? w00t, maybe!! : ) So... not much time right now.
I only resent welfare cheats because they are picking my pocket. If only liberals had to pay for welfare cheats I'd have no problem with them.
I've never thrown a piece of cucumber at anybody!! Is this the best you can do for the "Daily Ricter Riddle?" (Yes, I see the opening I have left you. I trust you are man enough not to take it.)
I wonder if they could take this experiment a step further if what the results would be. For example if they were to allow one monkey to make the choice of whether or not he can have a cucumber, and the other one can have a grape, or else both monkeys get fucked with cucumbers, which choice do you think the monkey getting the cucmber regardless would make. I think if you were to ask most people in the occupy wallstreet movement if they would rather have both people get fucked with the "cucumber" rather then one person getting a "grape" and one getting a "cucumber" they would choose the scenario where both people get fucked. That is why it is hard to take most hard core socialists/communists seriously, because it is more about tearing people from the top down then building people from the bottom up.
