I believe this is at a managers' discretion. We had a manager and a couple of senior traders working on some strategy to trade futures, so they eventually made some trades, but the rest of the office wasn't allowed to trade it.
Thx, masterpiecefx, So in otherwords, they're primarily an equities only shop? So for the right guy with the right proven expectancy rate might they consider it? I'm targeting index futures such as YM and ES only. Do you work at Swift in Toronto? Anyone in particular I might call to discuss?
Sandy, I used to work at Mississauga office a year ago. And yes, they are primarily equities trading shop. They will not let you trade futures right away, you will join the company as a trainee, make them net of 2 grand per month to be qualified as a trader. Only then you can ask about trading futures. But things change so often in this company, it's best to contact them to ask this question.
