I use a competitor spreadsheet but I'm thinking of switching to Excel because of the gazillion add-ons that are offered to Excel (exclusively, sad to say). Anyway, I'm sure TS is a fine if somewhat overpriced specialized app. But for the price of TS, I can buy Excel plus the advanced Solver add-on that would allow me to do global optimization -- on anything, not just trade equity. I wonder if TS will offer universal global optimization before the end of this century.
I've heard of it but I'm more inclined to go with the Premium Solver. Hmm. Maybe I'll do more comparison first.
