Excel Order Entry "platform"...

    Is anybody using excel to place orders manually?
    For example, click on a button in excel to transmit/cancel an order? Similar to IB's TWS but all within excel?

    TWS has an Excel API demo spreadsheet with order submission samples.

    I have not used Excel for trading since 1998. Any reason why you would prefer it?

    The ability to customize the platform in more ways than are currently available in TWS.
