Excel 14 (2010) will be officially released in June, for those of you who may have been looking forward to easily increasing 2007's two-GB RAM limit. The 64-bit version will have an eight-terabyte limit. http://www.product-reviews.net/2009/12/01/microsoft-office-2010-release-date-will-be-in-june/
Does anyone have any first thoughts testing the Excel 2010 technical preview or beta? I'm wondering if the 64 bit version has any performance improvement on large spreadsheets (+10 mb)?
This is so exciting Office 2007 with a little extra. Can't wait for the release in June 2010 http://office2010releasedate.blogspot.com/
http://blogs.msdn.com/excel/archive/2010/01/27/programmability-improvements-in-excel-2010.aspx 100 to 1 speed improvement with Excel UDF's. Better brush-up on your C++ however.....to take advantage of them. And don't expect crapware like IB's Excel spreadsheets to work much faster. They'll need to be totally rewritten.
