This is why I have no social media outside of an anonymous Twitter.

There are lefties on this very website who would love to reveal who we are to the world for our posts on this site. Nine Ender is an example (feel free to search his posts) of someone who has made these types of comments in the past. One of the conservative posters here has also left for a while because he was threatened with being doxxed. This is unacceptable. To have to be subject to threats for a difference of opinion is abhorrent.

  2. This guy say cops should be shooting more blacks than what they're currently doing . . . . .

it's just a crime and feel free to shoot thing i'm guessing.

Oklahoma cop says police are shooting Black Americans ‘less than we probably ought to be’

A police officer from Tulsa, Oklahoma this week tried to downplay racism by police by saying that police shooter far fewer black people “than we ought to” because black people are purportedly involved in so many crimes.

Public Radio Tulsa reports that Tulsa Police Department Maj. Travis Yates this week told talk radio host Pat Campbell that it was unfair to note that black people are more likely to get shot by cops than white people because black people are involved in more crimes.

“If a certain group is committing more crimes, more violent crimes, and law enforcement’s having to come into more contact with them, that number is going to be higher,” Yates said. “Who in the world in their right mind would think that our shootings should be right along the U.S. Census lines? That’s insanity.”

The officer then suggested that, if anything, people should be impressed that police aren’t shooting more black people.

“All of the research says we’re shooting African-Americans about 24 percent less than we probably ought to be, based on the crimes being committed,” he said.

I think there is something to this.

People were locked down for some time. I certainly started seeing some unstable behavior locked down in the marina after a few weeks. Some people are not themselves completely at the moment.

i'm totally not making excuses for looting. I'm just saying that there is a sociological aspect to it probably related to undergoing a period of social isolation.

I appreciate your attempt at taking the officer's comment way out of context to push a narrative that he is racist. He certainly isn't speaking in the most clear manner, but then even the article isn't written error-free ("that police shooter far fewer black people"?? Says much for the quality of the reporting).

The officer quite clearly is saying "Based on the number of times police encounter African Americans, one would expect police shootings to be much higher statistically than they are."

You, and the left, take this to be "Police officer says we need to shoot more black people." You are full of shit, as usual. I'd like to thank you for adding another example of your bullshit to this thread as evidence of your narrative. Please feel free to continue.

Same goes for myself. I'm more unstable and easily irritated nowadays. It might have something to do with being under strict curfew and rules, having ID checked multiple times when going out etc. Do we have some ingrained expectation of freedom of movement to feel at ease? I'm not sure.

He is completely correct. If one group has 2 out of 10 violent criminals and the other has 5 out of 10, you'd expect the latter group to get shot at more often. Simple logic that even a high schooler should understand.

Playing that game can backfire for you or anyone else. I expect all your acquaintances and relatives are spotless and never said anything controversial? If not, well, it's a question of when, not if.
