  1. because for a man who makes or losers hundreds of thousands of dollars per day you still sound like a newbie.

  2. that's because you probably equate knowledge with money. simple flaw of character on your part.

maybe i have much more money than you to trade with and can stand to lose more. did you ever think of that? or maybe i was making a point about emotions and the figures i used were irrelevant. also, why would i blink at $2K when my trades net closer to $20K ? pretty stupid trade-off imo

whatever the reason, find a better hobby then second guessing who and what i am. it's pointless to question me about my finances or experience b/c i won't share that especially with you, whoever you are.

why not just pine one of the resident hyperactive stock jocks at ET ? barking up the wrong tree if you ask me.

The trading system had a good week last week but it could have been even better if it wasn't for the pesky Thursday filter!

Overall $1,570 profit across the 5 contracts, fairly evenly split except for NQ which missed a 5 point gain on Friday due to the trading range filter. The Thursday filter prevented us making almost $2,000, but it's all about probabilities and historically Thursdays are the weakest day for the system.

The trading system had another good week last week, making $1,372.50 to add to the $1,570.00 from the previous week. Again the Thursday filter kept us out of what would have been another profitable day.

Historically, though, the Thursday filter still increases the average profit per trade across all 5 contracts.

I have added a stop loss to the historic results download spreadsheet for YM. This allows you to enter a stop loss value, say 35 pts, and see how it affects the back test results. Download the spreadsheet from here

How much profit has this system made in forward testing,
Over the last three months since it was published?

    Businessman,

Before commission and slippage the system has made, per contract, since 1 Jan 2004:

    YM: $2,410
    EMD: $2,270
    ES: $2,150
    ER2: $1,990
    NQ: $(560)

    Total: $8,260.

Yes, sorry, I meant 2005, it's a lot more than that since 1 Jan 2004!

  10. I trade a slightly modified version on ER2 and started trading it in late January. So far, it has made me about $750. Not bad for a simple system that only triggers a couple times a week.
