  2. electron,

    Keep up the good work,
I don't know how lucky you are that the nontrader ElectricSavant actually unsubscribed from your thread, that freak is stalking my thread night and day there.

I've tested some of my systems before, this is what I've noticed:

Systems placed into last 3 months made money,
but taking and put into another season lost money, in another season made money.

So as you can see, different months different results, odd isn't it. But same idea though.

  3. I was looking at the pics you posted though,

thats some odd system, couldn't see the reasonings in some of the enteries :)

Maybe you need to tweak it a bit. Thats what I hate about systems (but I use it of course), need to start curve fitting a lot of things espically for FUTURES because its so different day to day.

Electron - what do you mean by the statement above? what "accidents"... ?

i agree though that yesterday's behavior seemed just very erratic - and perhaps congestion is factor - we have had a hundred point range so far since the beginning of the year, we are sitting pretty close to where we started this year, so the hasn't been much movement on the year, so thus perhaps there is a lack of interest on the part of the directional participants and hence a lack of follow through on the moves.

Does turning the system off for a couple of days before/after quad witch affect the results. those of us who have been trading many years take moves one way or the other with a grain of salt for the day before, day of, and day after triple/quad witch. your system is quite obviously a momentum trend pullback entry which will degrade on those days. the day after, monday, may work but would think the thursday and friday of would result in whipsaws and failures. these comments are for the quarterly expiration ONLY. the other expirations are good for trading.

this system feels a bit like Linda Raschke's stochastic system from street smarts...

ie wait for the slow stochastic to rise, be crossed to the downside by the fast stochastic and then the fast stochastic turn up again to buy...

not a million miles from that anyways...

    :)

  7. No stochastics, no oscillators...

  8. Thanks for your comments... Sometimes it's simply bad luck. Had I placed the last entry only two ticks higher the loss would have been 8 ticks lower. I have not tried turning it off for any particular reason yet... Might take a look at it...

You are close in your characterization of my system. But there is more to it. I will post more about it later on.

  9. You do not trade futures and yet you feel compelled to post in this thread dedicated to trading the most popular electronically traded futures instrument in the US with an obvious intent to advertise C2. Sorry pal, but I have to request that your posts in this thread be removed by the moderator. You obviously have a completely different agenda than me.

Moderator: please remove this guy's posts in this thread. Keep this post though. Let it serve as a nice piece of evidence of how vendors masquerade as 'real traders'. By hijacking a thread with real trades. Nice try... Thank you.

Electron has a good journal going and there will be no hijacking of this thread to promote other agendas. If you would like to discuss another strategy or your own trades (real or sim), and you are not promoting a commercial website, please start your own thread. Thanks.
