Jack, please provide more clarification again. I love Cycle 1 and 2. Could you go over the definitions of R, S and J, K nodes that I have to say I may understand them incorrectly? R: Increasing volume same color. (PRV @n+2 bar open higher than prior n+1 bar's volume AND sentiment never change?) S: Volume > prior trough AND same color (earlier version) OR Volume > prior trough AND any color (last version). (In the 3x5 cards, you said it is a "Continuation" node for PM breakout PACE change. Do you mean this node is relevant to F node ONLY? If so, what if I have decreasing volume @n+2 bar open? Where do I go next if I am at E node?) J: Volume drops below prior. (Prior what? What do you mean "drop"? Not merely decreasing? Also, in Sheet 3 and 6, we have actual volume below Lock-In and PRV below trough at H or Beta nodes leading to J node. Is that the meaning of J node?) K: Non dom any color. (Decreasing PRV compare to prior bar? I don't see how color can be changed unless pass in Doji test. In Sheet 3 and 6, we have actual volume below Loack-In and PRV above trough at Alpha or Gamma nodes leading to K node. Is that the meaning of K node?) Hope the rest find the drills helpful.
Jack, I put up an illustration for my question. <img src=http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/attachment.php?s=&postid=3105593>
Hi SK0, If I would strictly use Cycle 1 I would come to these conclusions: First example: At the open of bar 10 we are at Q (n+2). Open to open comparison makes color = black with increasing volume (same color) which means we move to R and then to T. At T we have three choices: Beta, Gamma and U. We could move from U to M via W but we have no "lock in" yet.On the first flow chart "lock in was defined as PRV > Volume but later it was confirmed that it is not PRV but "real volume". Back to Beta... Beta is also not the right choice because our volume (or PRV?) is not below the through yet. What is left is gamma(or whatever the name of that sign is). From Gamma we move to M to N. At N we have: a pass, color change and NOT J or K. This leads us to E and then to F and we are at n+1. Second Example: Here the difference is that at N we have: a pass but then we have K (non-dominant volume in any color). This leads us to A to see if we get B or C. Could also be that I got lost somewhere because of the many flow charts and instructions that I had to use in order to figure this out. Greetings.
In cycle 1 you do not trade non doms. You illustration to the right is a non dom and you are sitting on node B via a prior exit feedback loop. the cycles are et up for people to "get the pieces" and them begin to "put the pieces together". For the illustration on the left I have gone through the reversal and subsequent dominant hold. Review the links and nodes of cycle 2 to following the flow of a non dom. For the many years of our posting and the broad support of others (See ATS and automated snippets in the Hershey tooling thread (about 200 5 post pages)), you can see the "tranference" of an approach based upon pool extraction. The job is simple: "do the work". If you were to log the market, you would have columns to enter the "pieces" which are all part of a hugh and specific symbolic glossary for a System, its structure, the process within the structure and the results attained by he process. Systems Analysis is an old extablished problem solving approach. MADA embodies the Scientific Method in a "deductive" orientation. It all leads to the differentiated mind. relax for a moment and reflect on your formal and informal learning. you mind grew as it accomodated all that was new and learnable. zillions of pieces have ben involved. In many subjects they have been assembled into a body of knowledge that is terrifically organized in order that any thing you need pops up at the right time. this is an "association" of the organized pieces. They have been put together so you "know that you know. I like reading as an example. everyone does it every day. today for 10 bucks you can buy a calculator that organizes and deals will all the pieces of Arithmatic. you press buttons and read answers. In trading, money is made all of the time, segment by segment. the markets are extremely simple because all of the pieces fit into a binary vector context just like the arithmatic in the calculator or the reading you doe with your eyes and maind combo. for you to show me yo do not use the PRV snippet to get the "piece" for volume for cycle 1 or 2, is informative to me. we all made 3x5 cards of the nodes. then as the definitions on the cards grew more succinct and sensitive we had to paste the cards on 8 1/2 by 11's to have enough space to articulate the meanings of the note symbolically represented by a letter. differentiating dom and non dom takes two sheets of paper each with a 3x5 card pasted to it. Add the haves of your illustration to the sheets as a subtopic related to DOJI's and their relationship to dom and non dom. Review your "sentiment" sheets as well. Spruce them up here and there. At various times in my life I have had to eal with the "full time body guard" scenario. Why? It has to do with one's mind. specific system were in there and had to not become at risk of stoppage. You are involved with a system that deals with the continuous unlimited offer of the markets. By doing the work you build a resource. Waiting longer and longer to do this is not good idea. Examine the 5 times table in arithmatic. It was given to you and you accepted it and made it part of you. you used sheets of paper and pencils to accomplish this. They are long gone but the 5 times table is not. the pieces are in your mind and they are arranged in a differentiated manner. they are iommediately available to you and always have been and always will be. Many people do not do the work or consider the gifts being given to them. Do the work and get the gloosary and put the pieces together enough time inorder that you mind forms a differentiated group of knowledge. This body of knowledge, at some point, will give up to you (not even on demand but automatically) anything you need at that time to extract the offer of the markets continually. It is like drving a car. One of my cars is the largest model BMW ever made. the V 12 has three separate electronic trnasmissions. I can burn rubber when I choose to accelerate @ 100mph or better. I like to drive so I drive car that peforms. I like to trade, so I use the BEST AVAILABLE for extracting the market's offer. For driving or trading, there is a requirement of a differentiated mind. the steps of learning are the same as learning the 5 times table. you have all the pieces; gain facility (logging, MADA, etc) and you will have a fully differentiated mind. the market has no noise nor nomallies and volume leads price in one and only one pattern on all nested factals.
there are many unsophisticated people who confuse whatever with elegance. give a try to dealing with elegance; it won't hurt you too much.
