NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--A former hedge fund portolio manager has pleaded guilty to criminal charges he engaged in insider trading based on tips about upcoming UBS AG (UBS) analyst recommendations, generating more than $3 million in illicit profits. David R. Slaine, a one-time portfolio manager at Chelsey Capital, pleaded guilty to conspiracy and securities fraud at a hearing in December before U.S. District Judge Richard J. Holwell in Manhattan. The plea was unsealed Tuesday.
