some stocks become ex div on 15th june. what time they become ex div? at the open or close ?

Yes, you have to have the stock long coming into the 15th to collect dividend. Example: XYZ closes at $25, with a $1.00 dividend. If it were to open "unchanged" it would open at $24. Dividend paid in a few weeks to holders.
