I'm not insisting it's an unexplainable imaginary magic pseudo 'Creator'. In fact I'm not really insisting or trying to convince anyone of anything. I'm simply saying, as I've said repeatedly, that I have some doubts and healthy objective skepticism about some of the more fantastical "scientific" theories. Period end of story. You're the dope who keeps bringing up God every time you got nothing else to fall back on.
Ah, you got me... now watch this. I will handle this the way a non troll handles it, as opposed to your method of deny and lie. I made a mistake... I left out the word "not". evolution does not run contrary to my reading of the bible.
Our argument is simple. I asked: do you have proof of abiogensis. do you have a pathway from non life to life. --- --- you stated... Yes, and yes. You're certainly free to arbitrarily dismiss the enormous amount of evidence regarding terrestrial abiogenesis. This is especially interesting... In the 1950s and 1960s, Sidney W. Fox studied the spontaneous formation of peptide structures under conditions that might plausibly have existed early in Earth's history. He demonstrated that amino acids could spontaneously form small peptides. These amino acids and small peptides could be encouraged to form closed spherical membranes, called proteinoid microspheres, which show many of the basic characteristics of 'life'. I asked a basic question... do you have proof of abiogensis... and you said yes. You are wrong. The first person who has proof of abiogensis will be a nobel prize winner... and as famous as any scientist we know.
ZERO multiplied by any thing you choose is ZERO. When Scientists finally reach the last rung in the ladder of knowledge they will find a Theologian sitting there asking what took you so long?
There is proof of abiogenesis whether you accept it or not. The person or team who discovers that exact pathway will certainly win the Nobel Prize. That, you are correct about. Your assertion that there is no pathway to begin with is wrong as evidenced by the experiments I posted for you which show some of the chemical processes involved in the formation of the different aspects of life.
You're correct about theologians who know everything there is to know. How easy is it to simply say, "God did it"? It's a profoundly lazy explanation, if it can be called an explanation at all. That's why I love science. Nobody claims to know everything, otherwise, what's the point in pursuing science? It's a quest for the unknown. In contrast, religion already has all the answers. We might as well close down all our universities and convert them to convents where only religion is taught since religion has all the answers. Unfortunately for those who accept reality (because religion is apart from reality), we have to contend with "theologians" and theists who know the 150 years of science supporting evolution is wrong, who know the true explanation is "God did it", and why? Because their ancient holy book says so. All scientists should quit right now, open the good book, shut up, and obey the priest...That might have worked in the Dark Ages, but thank God (no pun intended) that we got past this. Our technological progress is the result of nothing but science IN SPITE of religion which has attempted with all their strength to halt such progress because of some idiotic heresy (i.e. Galileo). An incredible feat as demonstrated by the anti-science cabal here in this thread, and we're here in 2011! Amazing!!
