i guess i am gullible for reading a jewish publication and given that most of it confirms what i already read/saw on Fox, i give it some credibility. gosh let's see....that's three personal attacks!!! thanks guys!!! btw, i remember on 9-11 hearing about the mysterious van that was pulled over but none of the mainstream media followed up on the story at that time. GOOD-BYE!!!
I think I will focus on trading also. Those guys do not deserve our precious time but at least we have done our duty to try to educate those civilised people ...
Gentlemen, not only are we straying from the main topic of this thread, it is starting to get personal. May I suggest that everyone simply agrees to disagree. Or atleast, to take a pause and return to this topic some time later after we have had time to think about matters in a more unemotional state.
I don't see where candle spoke words of a "fascist or a nazi". However maybe I missed something. Where did I EVER accuse any people, any faith, any religion, any race, any widely accepted peace loving beliefs at all of being evil? Or of being our enemies? Where did I ever lay blame other than on the unelected and unpopular fanatics that preach violence and xenophobia? If you think I am guilty of defending candle....in what way did I defend him? (and I am not saying whether he needs to be defended or not....that is not for me to say, do or make judgement). But yes, I agreed with what he said about who our greatest dangers were posed by. I never ever agreed with his premise to make war with Islam. If you read what I said, you will see I went out of my way to make that point. Good luck trading. By the way, what makes you think I am a white american? Or a jew? What makes you think anything about me other than I am somewhat proficient in English? (As I have been in French and Vietnamese. Which ended up costing me more than you can ever possibly know). I have been imprisoned in America, held as a hostage in what was Burma at the time, and tortured in Cambodia. I think I know a little bit about racism, bigotry and being on the wrong side of them. I empathize with the plight of the Arabs, the Palestinians, the Jews, the American Indians, the Hindus, and the Buddhists. The Serbs, the Croats, and the Kurds. The Inuits, and on and on. They are all good people. They have all been discriminated against. The only hatred I have is for hatred itself. This is why I give money to the Anti Defamation League. This is why I am what you would almost certainly label a "liberal" (with a negative connotation), but I cannot silently watch the ACLU defend the right of free speech exercised by hate groups. So the ADL is the voice of reason I support. No one is ever right all the time. I admire the ACLU. But there are limits. Even they need a watchdog group to keep an eye on what they try to assure. Sometimes our constitution is taken too literally. So then it takes an organization like the ADL to put some reason into the equation. Well, gotta go watch Mel Brooks' "History of the World Part I" so I can get a real perspective on what really went on before I was born. But I DO remember what Mohammed Ali said. And it wasn't Will Smith said in the movie!
Babak. I have always agreed with you. However if you read the very first post in this thread, I think it has not gotten off topic. As a matter of fact, I think some diverse and thought provoking points have been raised. Certainly anything is better than the "lets just preemptively bomb the evil doers" tone of the first post. But maybe we have reached a good moment for a time-out!!
I am sorry but I asked you if you agreed with candles'sword and your answer was 2 : Pretty much, yes After what you wrote I believe you do not really agree with candle and in that case that would be great to have the courage of your opinion. What candle said and what he is saying for a long time is for me racist. when you consider that there is a civilized world and an uncivilised world that is the racism France Britain used in their colonies. and being from an inhabitant of a former colony, I dislike those words at the extreme. I don't know who, you are, where you are from but for me certainly not a citizen from a third world country. from what I know about Mohammed Ali, he did not go to Vietnam and stopped boxing because of that and I am pretty sure his ideas were close from what was said in the Michael Mann movie, which I found by the way an average movie. Mohammed Ali deserves much better than that average movie. If you know better please tell me since I really appreciate this guy. he was really courageous to do what he did and he was not just for the money like many boxers... But insisting on that detail means you have no real argument and that you are trying to find silly excuses. I sent, what I believe are very good articles to educate candle ver and all what you found to say was you don't have opinions.. this is a quite weak argument don't you think so????
It's about time the Civilised World got much tougher with the Evil Doers (Palestinian, Iraqi, Pakistani, Iranian, Syrian & other terrorists)... September 11th was a wake-up call, but the chimes keep ringing... He does not talk about specific terrorists but about whole countries. When you start generalizing like that, it means that you believe that all those people (arab by the way except Pakistan and Iran that are muslim countries) are terrorists and uncivilised. Those words are the one of a racist and a fascist. The fascist considers his nation to be superior to the others in terms of civilisation and race and that all the others because of their race are inferior. This was the theory used by the nazis but also by the French and the British. What they did in their colonies was no better than what the nazis did in Europe...
I resent being called a fascist or a racist... I am an anti-terrorist... don't blame me if 99% of global terrorism is as a result of a distortion of Islam by fanatics... Islam in itself is a good religion, if only it were practiced properly... As for bombing the evil doing countries, I do not advocate a blanket bombing, but the smart bombing of military targets... any collateral damage would of course be regrettable... God Bless USA, Israel and all Civilised Countries in their war against the Islamic Terror...
You are attacking countries not individuals ... do you really believe countries are terrorists... from your own words yes. moreover, whay god bless Israel... you want god to bless a terrorist country that is everyday humiliating poor people with one of the strongest army in the world ?and hemped by the Us??? Come one Candle, then if ypu are noty fascist as you imply you are the biggest naive person in the whole planet or a jew which in that case even is no good ANyway good luck in your future endeavours...
