  1. "You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.' But I say to you, Do not resist one who is evil. But if any one strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also; and if any one would sue you and take your coat, let him have your cloak as well; and if any one forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles. Give to him who begs from you, and do not refuse him who would borrow from you. You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust." RNC Won’t Say Whether They Agree Or Disagree With Cheney’s Terror

Do Michael Steele and the Republican National Committee — the center of the party’s political operation — agree or disagree with Dick Cheney’s claim that the Obama administration is more concerned with protecting terrorists’ rights than protecting Americans?

    The RNC won’t say.

Earlier this afternoon, I asked RNC spokesperson Jon Thompson whether Steele and the RNC agree with Cheney’s assertion in an interview with The Politico that the new administration is “more concerned about reading the rights to an Al Qaeda terrorist than they are with protecting the United States.”

Cheney also characterized the new administration’s approach as “turning the other cheek.”

After promising to look into it, the RNC spokesperson didn’t reply to repeated efforts to follow up.

Here’s why this question is a valid one to pose to the RNC. Cheney’s comments are about something larger than just Cheney’s opinions. They represent what may be an emerging GOP political strategy right now to lay the groundwork in advance to blame Obama, should there be another attack. After all, former Bush speechwriter Marc Thiessen recently said that if there were another attack, “Americans will hold Obama responsible.”

The RNC, again, is the GOP’s central political operation, and it will largely set the political tone of the party going forward. And new chairman Steele has pledged that the GOP will become a “new party” that will move in “a new direction.”

So it’s fair to ask whether Steele countenances Cheney’s approach to national security politics, which the GOP pursued for the last seven years, or whether he’ll break with that approach. For now, the RNC is not saying.

  4. someone should drop Cheney off in the middle of AQ country. Hopefully they'll sever his head and use it as a toilet bowl.

  5. The same people should drop that fat pig you call a mother in AQ country with him.

  6. Quote from the wise man: The only good republican is a dead republican.

Parasites sucking the cream off the top and maggots chewing away at the under belly. In a few years you'll be living in hell because you deserve to live in hell. Burn baby burn.

  7. Cheney is a freaking arrogant idiot.

    He was WRONG about WMD.
He was WRONG about Iraq being linked to the 9/11 hijackers, who were Saudi Nationals. He's been WRONG about so much and costing thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of lives that it's amazing that anyone actually gives him any credibility whatsoever . . . And now just 2 weeks after leaving office he's giving interviews to Politico as if anyone actually cares? The world accoring to Dick? :D

The guy ( in his best "Dr. Strangelove" impersonation ) has the audacity to say (in regards to the current financial crisis) that "No one could have ever expected this to happen".

Just like Michael Brown at FEMA who said, "No one could have ever expected the levies to break."

Just like Condi Rice who said that, "No one could have ever expected terrorists to use planes as weapons and fly them into buildings."

    Give me a freaking break.

The most amount of INCOMPETENTS in one single Administration, ever!!!
    :(

  8. No sir.

    They are very competent.

    They created crises.

They called on white trash, using Nascar and God Bless the USA.
They called on niggers, using a way out of the ghetto.
They called on spics, using a way out of the barrios.

They made Millions on the backs of the worthless. Pun intended.

Bush never cared about the masses. He has nothing at all in common with them.

To his international friends and family he did quite well.
