This isn't a very "trader" thing to say, but I find it interesting (puzzling?) that the Nikkei has been up, up, up at a time when the US may be facing a recession at some point in the near future.

LOL! The chop can last for YEARS or days... Don't assume the worst til it starts, you will miss a lot of $$ that way.

  6. Yeah, but that guy in the middle is not coming back into the game. He's blown out his account for good. :)

  7. *yawn* you guys are funny. You were all probably sitting on the sidelines in 2003-2004 expecting a correction "any minute"

    lol

learn to re-act to current market conditions, not to sit on the sidelines trying to predict and going 'OMG!WTFBBQ!MARKETS GOING DOWN ANYDAY NOW!! BBQZZRTZ!!!!'

  8. lol

personally i'm throwing in the towel for a while. someone out there is going to miss my steady contributions to their p&l since last may

i liquidated this feb 27th inspired short... so my guess is maybe some degree of new downward pressure. i already see crude trying to put makeup on the pig

it's been pretty lame, trying to force short size in this bull market

  9. Shorted banks and brokers last weds. Covred 75% of the positions on Monday, due to a lack of follow through on the downside.

Market opened today and flew straight up, 25% left of the tabel, took massive heat. Nothing to errod oveall profits from the monday, but still a little uncomfortable at this level.

May have to cover at a loss on the 25% tomorrow. Not sure where to go from this point. However, seems to be pushing towards the top of the Monthly range. If we break higher, I,m thinking the market will shoot straight up a few more hunderd points, possible touch 13000.

Looking for a place to get long, however, I think I missed that train as of yesterday. I should have covered 100% and took on a 25% long positions. Ahh but hindsight is makes us all Market Wizards.

Same here, I closed most of my short positions 2 days ago but left about 30% open. Yesterday hit me hard but I managed to join the bull (quite late). Tonight seems to be good as asian markets all up but the Easter is coming, I just worry profit-takers will drive the market down
