VMW had the 2nd highest Enterprise Value next to BIDU. Nothing in the market was more expensive . . . Not even GOOG. Given the efficiencies of server optimization, it was thought that VMW would be resistant to the business cycle, and any decline in capital spending. Apparently not so.
