Their agenda is gaining power over others whether or not they actually believe they are promoting altruism, equality, fairness, or whatever other 'feel-good' nonsense they are trying to sell.
Not true. There are those who actually love freedom and wish to put power in the hands of the individual- eg Ron Paul, Libertarians, the Founders, ect....
Boy you sound pretty wet behind the ears and you sure got a lot to learn. Any true blue capitalist would not fill out a form to the goddam IRS, they would emigrate to a tax haven and live it up in style, paying no income tax, no capital gains tax, and for sure no social security. Just some simple sales tax would be all they'd have to chip in, enough to pay for the police and army. Come down to Lyford Cay some day and you'll see plenty of us who've already "opted out" for real - but if you think we're gonna put our personal information out online, let alone give it to the IRS, you gotta be born yesterday.
I've been to Grand Cayman many times (and received the slowest service at Subway restaurant ever, except possibly for the Bahamas). I saw more Brits and Canadians than Americans, but they are there. The US is unusual in that any worldwide income is taxable, no matter where you reside for any citizens. My personal opinion is that if you're not using American roads, American fire departments, American police, and American services in general then you shouldn't be paying US taxes. On the other hand, if you're not paying US taxes then you shouldn't complain about "socialism."
I agree, but assuming they are making money trading our markets, I believe they should have some tax responsibilities.
