As a 20+ year California resident, I sincerely hope that we do not get bailed out. Besides, why would Obama give money to California? He'll win here in a landslide no matter what he does. If California was a swing state, that would be a different story.
Saw this on another site. "America is at that awkward stage. It's too late to work within the system, but too early to shoot the bastards." Personally though, I'm not so sure it's "too early".
Actually as a republican, I think CA should get bailed out. CA residents pay somewhere around $250-300 billion dollars per year to the federal government. The least the federal government can do is give back 16 billion. If California separated from the US, they would be swimming in so much surplus, you wouldnt believe it. Even after funding their own military, education and healthcare.
