Wrong, immigrants consume more welfare than they consume. Wrong again, the only non immigrants who want immigrants are the ones who can profit off of them. For those who lose their job or income which would be the vast majority of non immigrants, it is a cost not a benefit. The ignorance is monopolized by immigration proponents in Europe right now. Hopefully, they continue to learn slowly since the whole fracas has been endlessly entertaining.
It's hard to have a serious discussion with someone who isn't even clear on what they're discussing. The vast majority of immigrants, both legal and illegal, have Social Security and Medicare withholding taken from their W-2 wages. Please note neither Social Security or Medicare are welfare. That said, the assertion that "immigrants consume more welfare than they consume", in addition is nonsense. First, the sentence is just nonsense, I assume you meant to say "more welfare than they pay". Now back to those of us who use real numbers, if we're talking illegal immigrants, which presumably you've reverted to now, they pay $90 billion in taxes each year and use $5 billion in services (https://www.americanimmigrationcoun...ddressing_common_questions_on_immigration.pdf). That's all services, not just welfare. If you have an actual source with actual numbers that show something else, I'm all ears. Your unsupported "Wrong" is pretty meaningless. Interestingly you formed this opinion based on the echo chamber you live in based on, not any actual data. So you're going to go search for it now as a gross form of confirmation bias to confirm what you've already decided is true before seeing any evidence. But that's just interesting social science. As for the second part of your assertion, again have you ever worked picking fruit for a living (not u-pick berries for an hour) or cleaning hotel rooms? I'm willing to bet any sum of money you haven't because everyone I've talked to, across the political spectrum, who has understands that these aren't jobs being "stolen" from hard working 'muricans like you. And you are happy to buy cheap ag products that are enabled by this labor, so yes, unless you don't eat anything that's grown and harvested you directly benefit from immigrant labor. Again, this line of "thinking" betrays a profound level of ignorance. And I'm serious, I'll be happy to set up a single day of labor for you and I'll work alongside you. I travel a lot for my own company, I'm sure I'll be in your neck of the woods sometime this summer and would be happy to take a day off to expose you and anyone else clinging to this bit of absurdity to a little of reality.
Your political mouthpiece has no credibility except among leftists and other suckers. Wrong, if those immigrants were not in the US, the cost of production would flow to investment in technology which would be predominantly higher income jobs. You hard core lefties sure do use a lot of words to say nothing. It must be all the soy you cram up your ass.
What a perfectly juvenile response. I'd say it's at a sixth grade level except my kids and most of their classmates were more eloquent, more intelligent, and more capable of higher level thought in sixth grade, so I wouldn't want to offend sixth graders. When you have any actual data to support your assertions, or you are willing to put your money where your mouth is and take me up on my offer that you're apparently too afraid to even consider, we can continue with an adult level conversation. Until then, it's unfortunate that the accident of birth made you a citizen of a country you don't deserve.
Exactly how far is your head up your ass? Does it make it harder for you to smell your own farts? Does your wife's metamour console you? You can't afford me. I love you useful idiots. Don't ever change.
Well you've done an outstanding job of making my point for me, thanks for that. I generally don't engage in a battle of wits with an unarmed man, so I'll let you get back to school. Don't forget to tell Tommy he's a stupid stupid dumb dumb.
Ever heard immigrants joke “I claim Mexican” that’s because the ones working jobs with W2 income often claim way more dependents than they should knowing they’ll never file, not to mention many work for cash anyways, sure the ones working taxable jobs pay in to SS but they’re not paying crap into state and federal. Idk where you’re from I’m guessing CA since you bring up the orange thing. On the east coast it’s common for illegals to work in one name and claim welfare in another name while scamming the tax system. Seriously you can’t be that naive to think they’re paying more in than they’re taking out. Also the jobs that they’re willing to take for didly squat wages might pay a little more if there weren’t so many people doing those jobs for crap pay. Ever thought about supply and demand. You wouldn’t do those jobs for minimum wage true well maybe not having someone around that’s willing to do them for that might increase wages, ever thought of that? Ever thought at all? Having relatives in CA one that’s a contractor he is always having issues finding work worth doing. In his words “the amigos are always underbidding me and reasonable paying work is hard to find”.
While U.S. yields may still be rising, the world is still awash in central-bank stimulus. The amount of negative-yielding debt has actually grown by nearly $1.4 trillion since February, to about $8.3 trillion: Bloomberg Barclays Global Aggregate Negative Yielding Debt index ""
Back to the original thread I’ve always wondered what’s going to happen in the next economic downturn. Rates are in fact already at 0 or in stimulus territory. It’s like central banks have 0 ammo left to combat the situation when it happens. It’s actually kinda scary, especially since we’re 9 years into a economic expansion phase and most likely in the late stages of a bull market.
