This is absolutely driving me up the freaken wall..I barely go to the Dr. and my payments went from 660 every 2 months to 828 in the last 2 years ( a 25% increase)..thats for me and my son...im looking into high deductible plans with HSA..which looks ok over a long period of time if you are a healthy individual..but in the short run you could end up with a sausage in ya...:D

if by standard of living you mean 3 1/2 TV's, 3 cars, 2200 sq foot home and a liver shaped pool...then perhaps we have been living large way too long and its time to tighten the belt a little or make more money..peace

Perhaps we will. And the blood will be on the hands of people like you who advocate the seizure of private property. If you're SO CONCERNED about the flight of jobs offshore then please tell your loyal ET readers why you insist on buying $35,000 foreign automobiles. Then maybe dddoo can tell us about his lucrative taxpayer financed pension. Hypocrites.

Go with the high deductible. Insurance should be a tool to protect one from catastrophic events rather than provide free teeth cleanings.

  5. Hardly.

They will turn on the ones who lied to them, namely the fat, rich, regressives....

You really are as clueless as you come off, no wonder your own party wouldn't support you in your bid for office....

I suggest you stay in Europe and live the life of an obedient, obligated socialist. I'm able to "live well" in America on my own dime. I have zero social conscious.

  6. What's wrong with that, I thought the idea of growing economy should mean increasing standard of living for most americans. And it's not like we're producing less than before in which case tightening the belt would be justified, the GDP is growing but the rich are grabbing all that extra wealth and then some.

Well I don't disagree with that, I disagree with pabsts of the world claiming the economy is doing great so it's time to tighten the belt. It's an oxymoron.

I was slated by the Republican Party and asked personally by Speaker Hastert to run so I'd say that's a measure of support.

And your ET audience is still waiting for the answer as to why autoworkers in Michigan are losing benefits while you're increasing our trade deficit with Sweden. As I see it you're personally outsourcing jobs.

I was one of a handful of Republicans running nationally in "suicide races" to recieve funding from Hastert.....

Do you think that Democrats running for Congress in sure loss races get money from the DNC. Not a chance. The money goes only to "targeted races."

the economy grows because the consumer goes deeper in debt to keep up with the jonses in turn lining the pockets of the rich...I say if you cant buy it cash dont finance it unless it is a must have or it turns you a profit..My neighbor has it all fat cars, fat house, fat pool and makes less than me who doesnt have 1/4 of what he has....he uses refi like its an ATM..go figure...when his property gets hit for 20% in market value he will be upside down trying to swim in a pool full of sharks...:D
