Some say the end is near.
Some say we'll see armageddon soon.
    I certainly hope we will.
I sure could use a vacation from this

Bullshit three ring circus sideshow of
    Freaks

Here in this hopeless fucking hole we call LA
The only way to fix it is to flush it all away.
Any fucking time. Any fucking day.
Learn to swim, I'll see you down in Arizona bay.

    Fret for your figure and
    Fret for your latte and
    Fret for your lawsuit and
    Fret for your hairpiece and
    Fret for your prozac and
    Fret for your pilot and
    Fret for your contract and
    Fret for your car.

    It's a
Bullshit three ring circus sideshow of

Any fucking time. Any fucking day.

Some say a comet will fall from the sky.
Followed by meteor showers and tidal waves.
Followed by faultlines that cannot sit still.
Followed by millions of dumbfounded dipshits.

Some say the end is near.
Some say we'll see armageddon soon.
I certainly hope we will cuz
I sure could use a vacation from this

Stupid shit, silly shit, stupid shit...

One great big festering neon distraction,
I've a suggestion to keep you all occupied.

    Learn to swim.
    Learn to swim.
    Learn to swim.

Mom is going to fix it all soon,
Mom is coming round to put it back
    the way it oughtta be...

    Learn to swim.

    Fuck L Ron Hubbard and
    Fuck all his clones.
    Fuck all these gun-toting
    Hip gangster wannabes.

    Learn to swim.

    Fuck retro anything.
    Fuck your tattoos.
    Fuck all you junkies and
    Fuck your short memory.

    Learn to swim.

    Fuck smiley glad-hands
    With hidden agendas.
    Fuck these dysfunctional,
    Insecure actresses.

    Learn to swim.

    Cuz I'm praying for rain
And I'm praying for tidal waves
I wanna see the ground give way.
I wanna watch it all go down.
Mom please flush it all away.
I wanna see it go right in and down.
I wanna watch it go right in.
Watch you flush it all away.

Time to bring it down again.
    Don't just call me pessimist.
Try and read between the lines.

    I can't imagine why you wouldn't
    Welcome any change, my friend.

I wanna see it all come down.
    suck it down.
    flush it down.

Everything is everlastingly impermanent. A giant zero sum game - in which there are endless cycles of peaks and troughs - which ultimately cancel each other out, so its all an illusion really. And like a roller coaster its fun for a while, but if you mature enough or live long everything eventually gets boring as the cycles wear you out and you root for the endgame so it can all end and you can get some rest. After the endgame, having said good riddance and resting a while during which you forget everything - then your born into a new world with a new body and everything is new and wonderful again. How else would you pass eternal time other than thru adventure and drama?

  2. Vanity of vanities, says the Teacher,b
vanity of vanities! All is vanity.
3 What do people gain from all the toil
at which they toil under the sun?
4 A generation goes, and a generation comes,
    but the earth remains forever.
5 The sun rises and the sun goes down,
and hurries to the place where it rises.
6 The wind blows to the south,
    and goes around to the north;
round and round goes the wind,
and on its circuits the wind returns.
7 All streams run to the sea,
    but the sea is not full;
to the place where the streams flow,
    there they continue to flow.
    8 All thingsc are wearisome;
    more than one can express;
the eye is not satisfied with seeing,
or the ear filled with hearing.
9 What has been is what will be,
    and what has been done is what will be done;
there is nothing new under the sun.
10 Is there a thing of which it is said,
    "See, this is new"?
    It has already been,
    in the ages before us.
11 The people of long ago are not remembered,
nor will there be any remembrance
    of people yet to come
by those who come after them
