I spoke with sombody from Everest tonight, for an entire hour. Its story is that it's a spin-off of WTS. Basically, the guy that I spoke to met with the guys from WTS (based in Quebec), and said that they badly needed to come out West. So, that's what's happening.
It is true that they run thru WTS based in quebec. place looks fair for sub 10k accounts as i believe that 10k is the min for WTS?
I worked with the guy that's gonna be running/owning this place. From my experience he is a fair and honest man.
yes, i spoke with some subs of WTS which are Global Market and Everest. Everest offers a little higher payout than Global all other thing being equal.
Everest Capital is owned by the trade desk manager at WTS in Montreal and it seems the person is still on duty in Montreal. So odds are high both companies are related.
Hi, I have another thread going in an effort to try to get to the bottom of this industry (I only started looking into day trading only last Thursday). The question I have is what makes a prop trading firm a scam? The ones that accept a deposit and simply provide leverage seem to be all alike. What characterizes a scammer out of this seemingly homogenous group? Is it that their risk system is so tight that it can only generate commissions? Do they have the balls to not pay the traders who profit? Or do they simply pack up and head back to Nigeria once enough people deposit their money in the firm? Thanks, CrazedSOB
