Oh yeah? Well listen to this one and tell me it wasn't super "N". I used to belong to a cult (will not be named or someone will come and chop off my head) and one day I was doing a pretty freaky ritual with candles, incense, incantations not knowing what to expect. (Didn't know what the ritual was intended to do). Next thing I know, the DEVIL'S HEAD was coming up out of the ground with RED FIERY EYES and HORNS and was the ugliest thing you ever saw. Freaked the **** out of me. I ran out of the room and almost pissed my pants. Tell me I was only hallucinating this monster....
Just forget it, version. This can't be explained by physics so it didn't happen. End of story with these guys. I've never seen them even give the smallest admission that maybe, just maybe there could be a supernatural aspect to life on planet earth. You're about to read 20 pages that implies your neurotransmitters went AWOL because too much incense went up your nasal cavities and you played too much XBOX the night before. They won't say it directly of course (unless you're a theist)...
DUDE!!!! Your neurotransmitters went freakin' AWOL. Must have been the second hand high from all the incense. Too many late night movies and XBOX for you. Pull yourself together. JB PS. Are you a theist? If not I apologize for my outburst.
Jeez, now that I think of it I payed over $250 an ounce for that green incense. It didn't burn like regular incense either. Kept going out... And I did stay up till 5am the night before watching horror movies and playing XBOX... That's Friday nights ritual... What in the heck is a theist?... Is that one of those dudes who believes in the Devil?...
Oh, and one more thing: THE WHOLE UNIVERSE IS SUPERNATURAL.... How could it be otherwise?... The UNIVERSE isn't even supposed to be here...
Actually, the basic question that materialists seem to have is this: why is it that the typical person (who believes he/she has experienced the supernatural) will generally have only a handful of spectacularly supernatural events in their life? The argument (I believe) is that since the rate of spectacular supernatural events is low that it must be explained by strict materialism, i.e. brain chemistry... In other words, why has their been only a handful of Phoenix Lights incidents? And why has version and hoodooman only had one such experience? But, again, I think this thread is supposed to simply be reporting what has happened and not endless analysis and arguing...
