Even with inflation in 1970. It only took 1 worker

did anyone suggest part of the deal is that our labor pool virtually doubled as women started competing for the same jobs and schools.
Now you have two salaries going after one house in a good school district.

Please do not take this as a sexist comment. Women have every right to compete. I just pointing out a major structural change.

    Women, inflation, asia, europe.

Inflation has hidden the fact that world labor markets have lowered our "true" standard of living.

People work harder and more hours for less in terms of real dollars. In exchange they get an ipod and a car that works better.

  2. Exactly you have none. I am trying to find my way, just like everybody else. But I think we’ve already established that making a decent living is much harder than 30 years ago for most. So everybody who is trying to get ahead nowadays is swimming upstream. Just when they start to get above water, the Man sends some rain. Instead of sending him a life jacket, you laugh at him while he drowns.

offer only retoric and no imperial evidence.

ignore any facts you can't depute

run out of material to defend your position. use insults and personal attacks and repeat them often

  4. What part of "find and implement your own solutions" don't you understand?

I'll bet you have all kinds of excuses why you can't go back to school and get an education for something you can make an excellent living at almost anywhere without depending on anyone else. Do you like animals? "Dog" is in your profile. So why don't you become a vet? If you don't like that there are plenty of other things you could do.

But don't expect the benefits without the hard work and sacrifice.

  8. Little motivational speech for all the whiners in this thread. You want to make money, you want to get ahead, work for it.

  9. Why would you expect me to answer you when you wouldn't answer me?

  10. Against my better judgement I will try one more time.

Why do you assume everyone who sees what a terrible thing our corporate government has become is a poor sob. I am not complaining because I am not doing well, rather I am afraid of losing all the things I have worked so hard for. I have been to Brasil where anyone with any net worth must live in a gated community, with armed guards 24/7, drive an armored car to work, constantly worry about your kids being kidnapped for ransom. I have been to Kenya where you must lock the bars around your house and not dare go out after dark lest you be killed for US$20. Think it can't happen here, maybe not, depends on how much of the population they can keep stupid for how long, but we are definitely headed down the road. Our founding fathers recognized that a large bureaucratic govt will end in disaster and did all they could to prevent exactly what our govt. has become today. It is like the blob, just sucking up everything that gets in its way. Start fighting for your constitution as the Dems and Reps have equally wiped their ass with it.
