So is it your contention that man made global warming/climate change is having no effect on the Great Barrier Reef and other coral reefs?
Why constrain to man made. First establish that Global Warming period kills coral reefs, whether man made or not.
The following is from the the scientist and author of the peer reviewed study: "The results show that coral reefs surrounding remote islands were dramatically healthier than those in populated areas that were subject to a variety of human impacts."
Let me try again... Is it your contention that man made global warming/climate change is having no effect on the Great Barrier Reef and other coral reefs?
As outlined by experts in coral reefs, the top causes of coral reef bleaching are Solar Irradiance, Subaerial Exposure, Sedimentation, Fresh Water Dilution, Inorganic Nutrients and Xenbiotics. AGW and CO2 have nothing to do with it.
It is my contention that your answers thus far have been completely insufficient to explain why there is a direct correlation between the level of human interaction and the health of reefs.
Furthermore, why reefs with little to no human interaction are not affected by climate change. Do you think that it is just a coincidence?
that would be the approach of a logical person sincerely interested in scientific truth. you will get kicked out of the movement if you keep that up and start actually looking for answers to your questions rather than propaganda. Lets first establish warming with real data. Then lets see if we are warming outside natural variation. Then if we are lets see if we can determine what factors might be causing it. Answers so far... 1. we have been warming long term since last ice age. we may now again be warming short term... but it is probably too early to tell. 2. Using the best statistical methods or just plain old eyeballing longer term charts... it does not look like we are warming outside natural variation. 3. This may be moot if we are not warming outside natural variation. But long term we know the sun and the tides and natural cycles have a big influence on warming and cooling. Natural co2 is probably part of the feedback system to help with warming and cooling. Man made co2 in this point in the cycle may warm, may cool, may do nothing worth measuring.
