In a way I'm laughing at this, since I know how much hotter (and humid) it gets elsewhere, still it's what you're used to... Statements 4:37 AM MDT Tuesday 03 May 2016 Special weather statement in effect for: City of Calgary "Well above normal temperatures are expected to continue with some record high temperatures broken. Warm temperatures will remain in place into midweek. A cold front will move through central Alberta Wednesday and the southeast on Thursday lowering temperatures to slightly above normal. These conditions pose a health risk when you are not used to the heat." Also funny, the cold front will lower temps to slightly above normal.
The nutter argumentation indicates nutters don't even understand the assumptions which go into their side's climate models. The models use the assumption that adding co2 forces warming. The creators of the IPCC models explain in the footnotes they are not making predictions... they are creating scenarios. A scenario such as if you assume a X percent increase in co2 per year and a forcing of Y percent for CO2... then 30 years from now you get z temperature. That is not a prediction... its a scenario. The politicians and ignorant nuuters pretend the models are making predictions. The nutter scientists in the field understand this. that is why Hansen and other nutters scientists can hardily be found even once saying man made co2 causes warming. They have no science and they know it, so they craftily defer to the IPCC politicians whenever they are asked about co2 causing warming.
I am in southern Mississippi. How much I envy you! What I wouldn't give to be in Calgary right now! I recall when I was working at Los Alamos, 8000 ft, and the temperature climbed to over 80 deg one day, and it was the apocalypse. And there is no humidity. The New Orleans Jazzfest finished up this past Sunday. Call it "mudfest" -- rain, mud to your ankles, 90 deg, and 80-100% humidity. I know this from prior first hand experience. Thank god I wasn't there. I was in New Orleans, but not there. A barrel of mosquitoes can be a barrel of fun. And at only 70$/day, plus $20 for parking five to ten blocks away, what could possibly be better than that.
Why not keep your home for tax reasons but live in San Diego for almost 6 months a year. You could avoid CA taxes like all good leftists, tell the rest of us to pay more taxes and still enjoy our great weather and almost mosquito free environment.
Record day in Alberta, many high temp records fell. Plus, the largest fire evacuation in the province's history is now underway. 32C in Fort Macmurray. On May 3rd.
A reminder of what some global warming "nutters" say. lol American Meteorological Society "It is clear from extensive scientific evidence that the dominant cause of the rapid change in climate of the past half century is human-induced increases in the amount of atmospheric greenhouse gases, including carbon dioxide (CO2), chlorofluorocarbons, methane, and nitrous oxide." (2012)7 And every relevant science org in the world says essentially the same thing. http://climate.nasa.gov/scientific-consensus/ I put this up for the conservatives, who don't seem to know what the science says and still argue about whether CO2 is a greenhouse gas or not.
One of things lawyers are taught by judges early on in the courtroom.... never say its clear. Either present the evidence or try something else. Saying "its clear" without presenting evidence is a giveaway to the judge that its your weak point. I have seen judges stop the speaker and say... please explain why its clear.
