I fully support investing the people and systems that enabled Epstein. I am pretty sure a large number of politicians and business people do not want further investigations -- so we are not likely to see any type of vigorous legal investigation effort applied to this. Merely some news reporters at best -- and at this point they have uncovered pretty much all they have been able to get including all the Epstein prosecution files via legal disclosures. The constant drum beat of anti-semite conspiracy theorists spinning tales in an attempt to connect Jeffrey Epstein and many other famous figures to Mossad simply does not hold water. Let them come to the table with facts rather than half-baked bullshiat -- since they don't have facts they simply speculate and make accusations.
I have regularly outlined the failures of the right-wing Netanyahu government in Israel and outlined they would need to be replaced by a moderate government in elections for any progress towards peace in the region and a two-state solution. For decades I have regularly seen anti-semitic nonsense put forward by conspiracy nuts. Now with the internet it has grown in scope and intensity. In recent years, it has translated to action across the globe where anti-semities inspired by fabrications are physically attacking Jews in Europe, North America, and elsewhere. Similarly there are also anti-Muslim nutcases pushing hatred of Islam & its followers in Europe, North America, and elsewhere. This is inappropriate as well. If a Muslim is pushing anti-semitic hate ("Kill the Jews", "From the River to the Sea", etc.) on campuses, etc. then they deserved to face the consequences for their actions especially if they are being funded by a banned terrorist group. But this is different than targeting someone merely because they are a Muslim -- which is wrong. Just the same with targeting Jews merely for their religion -- which is wrong.
Your response contains a tension that undermines its coherence. On one hand you say you support investigating the systems and people who enabled Epstein. On the other, you attempt to shut down a line of inquiry, Epstein’s possible ties to Israeli intelligence by branding it as anti-Semitic and “bullshiat,” while demanding absolute proof in a realm where intelligence operations are, by design, covert and deniable. My line of thought is logical, and rooted in a pattern-recognition approach, starting with a documented relationship (Robert Maxwell and Mossad) and asking whether those ties might reasonably extend into Epstein’s activities. That is not “half-baked,” but a line of questioning grounded in journalistic, and historical precedent. The key issue with your stance is that it conflates motive to investigate with proof of guilt, and then slanders inquiry as bigotry without addressing the evidence trail. This rhetorical move is intellectually dishonest, it seeks to prevent the discussion rather than engage with it.
That’s quite a detour, full of broad condemnations and recycled talking points, but it completely dodges the point I raised about lived experience. When someone speaks with sweeping authority about the limits of protest, the meaning of political violence, or the “correct” way to challenge entrenched systems, yet comes from a life entirely insulated from conflict, unrest, or repression, it’s hard to take that stance seriously. This isn't about ethnicity or religion, it's about grounding. About knowing the difference between theory and reality. If you’ve only ever watched struggle from a distance.. safe, secure, untouched..maybe consider that others have lived it, and don’t need to be lectured from a metaphorical sofa. Incidentally, this morning I came across a young journalist who’s done some exceptional, in-depth work on Epstein and related networks, calm, competent, and encyclopedic. Much is very familiar to me but she has teased out far more detail. I'll post about her when I fully grasp her background and motives.
You are conflating the antisemities' posts on social media and appearances on "entertainment news" shows with proper investigative reporting. These are the same individuals who have pushed antisemitism and conspiracy theories for many years. The latest target for their speculative talking points in "Jeffrey Epstein was a Mossad agent". I am sure that that by the same reasoning you are using -- nearly everyone on earth is merely two degrees of relationships away from being a member of Israeli intelligence. If a proper investigation is needed of Epstein's relationships then either a DA can pursue it as a legal criminal manner by properly gathering evidence or a respected investigative reporter can pursue looking for legitimate information via interviews & documents. And here's a hint -- multiple respected investigative reporters have already pursued and reported on Epstein over the years. Nearly all have reached a conclusion that there is nothing else to uncover and have stop pursuing the topic.
You're conflating bad-faith speculation with legitimate inquiry. Just because anti-Semites push certain theories doesn't mean all lines of investigation are tainted. That's a rhetorical trap designed to shut down uncomfortable questions. As for “respected journalists,” some reporting was clearly suppressed (see ABC's spiked Amy Robach 2016 story), and many key elements of Epstein’s network remain opaque. Dismissing further inquiry because some reporters stopped digging isn't persuasive, especially given the intelligence-linked background of Robert Maxwell and Ghislaine’s central role. Asking whether those ties plausibly extended into Epstein’s operations is not bigotry. It’s due diligence. If being done in good faith. Matters such as this do exhaust themselves however this is still VERY MUCH an active matter that has the potential to unfold further. Think about how a case reopens when a new lead is found. A good detective using thorough methods has every chance of a breakthrough. Your thrust that continuing to discuss the matter is to endanger Jewish students and so wrong... Where do I even start?
Well here's a start as its been on my mind but I can't expect the "Ugly American" tier around here to follow too well. In Gaza, Hamas has long been accused of positioning rocket launches near civilians, knowing these locations will likely be targeted in response, a cynical strategy that weaponizes proximity. The horrific consequences are both predictable and intended to generate outrage. But we should recognize the mirror tactic in how Israeli ultranationalists operate globally. When they insist Israel's wars and policies represent all Jews worldwide, they weaponize Jewish identity itself. They understand perfectly that nuance collapses in moments of crisis, that frightened people will lash out at the nearest visible Jew, whether that's a Brooklyn deli owner or a Parisian synagogue. As the ADL documents, these actors benefit twice: first from the antisemitic backlash they helped provoke, then by positioning themselves as the sole defenders against it. The pattern repeats, whether through Hamas' human shields or through ultranationalists' rhetorical shields. When Smotrich denies Palestinian existence or Ben-Gvir provokes at Al-Aqsa, they’re channeling the ideology of the settler movement, an engine of Israeli ultranationalism whose violent wing has even been classified by Israeli and international observers as engaging in acts of terrorism. These leaders aren't defending Israel, they're painting targets on Jews globally while pretending to protect them.
So tell us why these characters constantly drumming the "Epstein was part of Mossad" speculation on the internet and on entertainment news programs are not demanding further investigation of Epstein's other obvious connections (Trump, Clinton, and many others)? Of course, these are the same characters who regularly push "Jewish bankers are running the finance world, "Hollywood is owned by Jews", and "Jewish Blood Libel" on their social media accounts.
Conspiracy theorist do what they do, it's their art therapy. Some sell books and have podcasts and just see it as a job. If you exclude state sponsored paid troll operations you have a lot of wingnuts. Why does Buy1Sell2 do what he does or ipatent (there's a list) ? Their interests are not in objective truth, just in getting to say what they want because it feels good. They lock into a subject, it hardly matters what it is, as it's really about a vehicle to get feelings buttons pressed in their age disintegrating brains. Those old tropes you mention are very different when examined by an investigator who does not have a head full of bad wiring. It depends on who's doing the asking and how. An investigator with a clear head and an evidence-based approach should be able to pursue a lead without being smeared as a bigot.
