Most college majors are a waste of time. The job market is lousy and jobs are outsourced to foreign countries because of cheaper labor. Colleges sell people dreams, then you graduate, cannot find a job, and are stuck with a pile of debt that cannot be forgiven in a bankruptcy. If you don't pay, if then affects your credit score, but sometimes if your debt is just too high and/or you are broke, you cannot do anything but to just stop paying the debt.
