It's all relative to account size. At least it should be. I won't calculate pnl, I am just impressed by the size.
Things that surprised me: my lack of experience in trading put me in Harm's Way when Euro started making big moves at night just when its time for me to go to bed. Man did I have a rough time trying to stay awake and think. The SuperNatural won't dprive me of a learning lesson in pain but it sure as heck provided a respite when Euro validated my Fibo Projection support which is still holding till today 2 days later. This allowed me to get some sleep. Lucky, lucky, lucky. Can't go into the ring against a champion like Eur/USD without adequate rest and sleep. Experience experience is what I am after NOW
You can of course calculate it and keep it to yourself. Its quite alright with me. You see, the bulk of my gain in TRADING if at all I do gain and win, comes from not just takingpostions and profiting but from being exposed to HUMILIATION. HUMILIATION in Markets is the accelerator of gains, so exponential it can be, so yuge that there is no better punishment. If I was just trading alone, hey 5 shots tot he stomach would be equal to my current pain. NOT ENOUGH! But throw in public humiliation from other traders and it takes the pain to exponential heights. That's the VALUE. But can I come out of it? I believe so!!! And will try as I have already!!!!
If it disturbed your sleep is probably over sized. Technically speaking you are also trading counter trend, selling dollars post rate hike, without a stop.
All correctly stated. Glad you posted this. Here's why. I don't think I ever made it clear what I was trying to do with this trade. So, here it is: The Big Swing is what I am after, not nickels and dimes. Warren's Big Swing that he taught me From day #1 at ET about 2 months ago there was a fella named deaddog who took it upon himself to guide me in my trading hte QQQ in my main thread. I was grateful and still am. But it became waaaay to apparent I was going to be choked at ET as deaddog canot tolerate a loss of more than $1/share in a trade and would instasntly urge to exit. Heck I was running and carrying a loss of $5/share and stil in the game and not tooo depressed, mostly my ego but the money was nota a fator - my big fear was I would fail at trading. So then as time went by and I came across other traers here it became obvious that their tolernce for loss and small and they did not have the wherewithal to give wiggle room tot he stock. I knew then and there that I was up against an insurmountable obstaacle at ET. Its not workable to have a low havingness trader tell a higher havingness trader what the tolerance limits are. The 2 traders are entirely 2 differnt animals altogether. So therefore no doubt you have seen how many tiems I could have takne substantial profits but did not. I am after the big swing!!! The Warren Buffet Swing. He taught it to me. I am going to use it. So accumulate postions and then when the move gets underway ride it to the end. Reverse and ride the Short all the way to the end. That's 2 big swings. That is what I am after. Failure in this trae won't stop me as I can smell victory down the road. I just need to sharpen my skills.
One other thing I forgot to mention ................... This trade you see here is a BEND IN THE TREND trade = I was expecting a reversal in DX and EurUsd. The long uptrend in the dollar Index and therefore the long downtrend in the Euro on the daily timeframe - I played it and took what I could out of it but then ............ I decided to trade the BEND aka Reversal - which as you can see is very troublesome for me as my timing is not accurate. So it has cost me interms of anguish, sleep, pain and frustration. Its a new style of trasding for me - THE WARREN BIG SWING. Its something that has always intrigued me and is now in my blood. Its the ony thing worth struggling for in trading as it affors tremendous freedom.
