If the analysis is "THAT" good the suggestion is worthless but . . . Since the EuroStoxx is so lightly traded why not switch to a more liquid instrument? The Euro FX is one of the more liquid instruments in the world. Can the people that do your analysis do something with the Euro Futures (Euro FX)? The larger the range of the instrument the better the profit potential.
Lightly traded? Today`s EuroStoxx volume was 5,5 times greater than the volume in the Euro FX futures (6E). Sure, the volume in the spot market is huge, but the volume in the futures is rather thin.
CvanToor, How long have you been trading this contract? Do you know if it trades similarly to the ES contract? Thanks, LF
I apologize, I read my excel sheet wrong. It isn't 5 times but the Stoxx is about 2 to 3 times the volume of the Euro Futures (eSignal FX). Average Stoxx volume is 1m, average Euro FX volume is 360k. I'm just starting to track the Stoxx.
Hermit trader> strictly speaking i'm not a retail trader. anyway i will try to post as many trades as possible.
proflogic> i actually trade the eur spot a bit as well. but i'm not a big fan, as i always get shafted for a point on the execution.
proflogic> as for my comment that it was quiet. The reason for that was that at that particular time everyone was waiting for the US to open.
laissez faire: funny that you should ask yesterday were my first trades in the ESTX50 but have eperience trading other contracts. and have 17years experience in stock trading it find the estx50 moves eerily with the eur.usd at times moves wit ES as well imo (although this morning estx50 was up 1.7% and es only 0.5%, but changes can be in synch) will post more on this if i have observed this more.
