'Chineses only get a small part of the profit, and most of the sweat-work.'

Right said, China sells few million T-shirts and US turns around and sells a Boeing 777 and cancels out the transaction. Chinese goods make US consumers happy as they get cheaper prices and have more money left in the pockets for other stuff. US has huge trade defecit vrs China but that is a long term currency game.

On the otherhand, if EU acts towards becoming a FOE to US then US can simply withdraw its defense support to the Western Europe and leave them at the mercy of the resurgent Russians. While there is not much wrong with Russia but they like to impose their versions of idealism and impracticalism on others. There is no guarantee that resurgent Russia will not stay away from dishing out some other reciepe of Karl Marx and Lenin's psychopathic dreams.

Strangely in its recent history Russia has not really attacked any other country (i might be wrong a little only) but they sure do try to influence and muddle in other's affairs via social and other covert ways.

There is also some deep rooted animosity and hostility from US and Anglo Saxon nations towards Russia and other Slavic countries. That is why even before 1917, US had rivalistic attitude towards Russia.

Hope in the Age of Aquarius, all the major nations on earth work and focus towards more harmonious and mutually appreciative terms.

Europe has to solve one other problem which is huge immigration from the Islamic nations. As the oil is running out, there is little left in these country to boost the economy and hence mass movement of peoples towards north. France is already seeing the changes in its society as a result of big immigration waves. On one side, the immigration solves the problem of low population growth rates in Europe but it does also bring in mostly lowly educated and culturally different folks who love to cling to their religious beliefs and customs.

In any free market progressive minded economy, seperation of religious and economic practices is crucial to say the least. Got to love to invent a motorbike that flies two inches above the road for a more comfortable ride rather than force people to ride donkeys and be anti technology.
