For forex (not futures), 3 to 8am EST are THE best times to trade the Euro. Largest moves, best trending. I would still trade forex if the hours were regular US for the best action.
Re: your q's 1) What data feed do you use? We provide a real-time feed ($10 per month, waived if you do $30 commissions). Many of the standard charting providers also provide a Globex feed. 2) Which are the best of the Euro Currencies? EUR is by far the most liquid. All FX futures in approx order of liquidity: EUR JPY CAD CHF GBP AUD Spreads are usually tight for all the above currencies. Wider spreads and a few contracts are also traded in the MXP and NZD (peso and kiwi dollar). 3) What are the best hours to trade them? Depends on your trading style. The European currencies tend to be more active when Europe opens, and are during the US/Europe overlap. But you can also get moves in Asian hours. 4) Where can I find the specs for these contracts?
