Sounds good to me, and to Europe I bet. Europe spends about $300 billion a year on the military, so they have no need for the US to "help." If the country cut the military budget (including military retirees) from half of every tax dollar to 25 cents over many years, nobody would notice, and there would be zero impact on the security of the US.
I think we should come home from Iraq, but we also don't have any business still being Germany and Italy's army, or Canada's too.
