I think one day they will scrap big dax and replace it completely with the mini dax.

    Probably when it hits 20,000.

Sneaky way for Eurex to get more fees.

The most innovative and interesting thing the Eurex could do is add the MicroDax following the CME idea

Considering that the Dax has a medium range of 150 points (sometimes even 400 points), there are thousands traders that are trading each day, the CFD 1 EUR dax with all these CFD scammers brokers

Its simple:there should be two contracts

Regular Dax, 10 euro per point
Smaller Dax, 1 euro per point

But thats never going to happen though because it is way too sensible.

  4. Ever thought about the funtastic possibility that there are some strange scalpers out there who try to capture the spread instead of paying it ? FESX was my main instrument for a very long time.

That is the last thing he needs, would be more competition for his limit orders.

great to see Eurex abolish the tiny tick size.
Other exchanges especially CME should follow eurex.

DAX min tick size will be 1 point = 25 Eur

so revised trading parameters for day trading :

    stop loss : 20 points, 500 eur

target profit : minimum 50 points, 1250 eur

stop loss used to be around 10 to 15 points.
so when market condition / behaviour changes, adjust the stop loss accordingly.

if the margin requirement is too high,
    trade mini DAX.

between dax and mini dax, dax is the more popular product.

I actually agree with this in NQ. Trying to place a limit order to go long on the DOM, and price is jumping around so bad I can barely get in. Then I get pissed, place a market order, and get filled 5 ticks too high. Change the NQ also please

right. there are quite a few futures which have extremely tiny tick size
    (eg NQ, China A50).
Looking at those long string of numbers would give us headache.
unfortunately those Exchanges might come up with super nano tick size
as their direction has been to make tick size smaller and smaller and smaller ...

  10. This reminds me of the US 2-year bond futures (ZT), where you can have a price like 110.37890625.
