Eurex, Chicago Exchanges get ready to rumble

Discussion in 'Index Futures' started by Cdntrader, Sep 16, 2003.

  1. Eurex is pretty smart launching identical contract specs.

This way the two exchanges will arb each other, so even if their is a lack of initial liquidity for Eurex US, it won't matter as the bid/ask will pretty much be the same, with no gapping and price jumping usually asociated with new thinly traded contracts.

I figure after about a week, everyone will be ready to switch.

If you're a daytrader, it will be like getting given an extra $300 a day for free.

  2. How did you get $ 300 figure ? I think you will still have to go trough broker and pay commission.
