  1. sorry to link to another thread i opened but its not getting any replies and figured maybe in trading it would...my issue is that my thinkorswim charts for eur/usd and my prophet charts for eur/usd show different channels and results when I draw them...you can see the charts in the below link....

really confused as to why this is happening...

  2. I'm vaguely thinking about two possibilities one being that it may be the difference between a bid chart and an ask chart or that one might be a log chart and the other a linear chart.

Or, actually, there's also the possibility that one starts at 5PM on Sundays while the other starts at 6PM.

There's also the fact that there's no central exchange in Forex. You could also compare the size of the charts in each program.

And there's also a little tiny detail you may want to look at. Let's say a price goes down to let's say 130.28 to 130.26 very quickly and the extra .02 does not show up in the candlestick, that might make a difference. That's one of the peculiar oddities that I found with Metatrader4. I don't know why it happens but I know it does and I know the candlesticks are not exactly what they should be.

  3. I think the time issue is probably it, never thought of that. I will check when I get home but it does seem like the thinkorswim chart is probably ending the day or starting the day later, not including as much possibly, therefore breaking out of the channel sooner?

    Anyone else seeing this?
