EUR/USD & GBP/USD & AUD/USD Forex Trading

Discussion in 'Forex' started by increasenow, Jul 13, 2009.

  1. got EUR/USD and GBP/USD on the screen ONLY...yes, forget the other cross rates...gonna focus on EUR/USD and GBP/USD trading solely and specifically...

    Note this now:

GBP/USD...strong resistance at 1.6700...I'd put sell orders there

EUR/USD...string resistance at 1.4300...I'd put sell orders there

Congrats, man. That's the hardest trading there is.

  5. Thanks, but I wish I could say it's the hardest and that I'm some kind of genius, unfortunately I can't! It's about the simplest, most cost effective and time efficient way to trade, and has fewer risks than some other trading approaches.

I guess the easiest way to trade is the way you're most familiar and comfortable with, this way works well for me. Pretty much any time of the day/night I can drop by and pick up a few pips on something without having to wait hours/days for a trade setup or for a trade to play out, and more importantly the results are consistent.

Like yesterday, I'd finished at lunchtime but took a look at charts again a bit later, saw a couple of trades and took a few pips. This morning I opened the charts and took a couple of pips while the coffee was percolating.....it's just there, all the time, calling 'take me, take me' :)

I'd venture <2% of traders are profitable. Minting 50+ pips a day, is remarkable. You could easily trade big money with that.

Granted, we trade whats easy and what works. Scalping demands formidable discipline and lightening-quick decision-making. Not easy. Props :)

  8. Keep 'em coming, I'm a sucker for this stuff :)

Truth be told I'm a trading dumbass, by comparison I know very little about the markets. I guess my point here is that despite my limitations I can still turn a profit, and if I can do it then anyone can. There's an inspirational message in there somewhere, for anyone struggling or just starting out.

You're a trader, how many convoluted systems and strategies do we see around the net and people saying how difficult trading is? My argument is that it's not really that difficult, in fact trading can be ridiculously simple.

Excuse my ramblings, I'm just so passionate about this business, there's not a day goes by that I'm not in awe of it :)

You're 100% right. Profitable trading could - and should be - Easy. Thank God it is. Otherwise how would people like us make a buck?! :DD

Yea, the markets are awesome. IMO, its the apex of capitalism - sitting on your ass and churning $$$.

  10. lol, yep you know what I'm saying, it's hard to explain unless you've been there.

I dunno it's just surreal, like you say sitting on our butts churning out bucks like some out-of-control atm, this really is some crazyass biz!

    Long live capitalism!!
